Named one of America's Top Surgeons by the Consumer Research Council in 2009, Tampa plastic surgeon Dr. Daniel Greenwald is one of the premier plastic surgery providers on the Gulf Coast. He's performed thousands of successful cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries on patients in the region since 1993, earning a national reputation as an industry expert.

Dr. Greenwald is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, including Cosmetic Surgery of the Face, Head and Neck, Trunk, and Extremities. He also holds a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hand Surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He's earned many accolades for his work. In 2009 alone he was named one of the Best Doctors in Tampa Bay, one of the Best Doctors in America, and as mentioned above, one of America's Top Surgeons.

Before beginning his career as a plastic surgeon in Tampa, Dr. Greenwald was educated and trained at some of America's top universities. In 1981 he graduated cum laude from Princeton University, and four years later he received his MD from Yale. He completed his general surgery residency in New York, and followed that with formal plastic surgery training at the University of Chicago on a Research Scholarship Award from the Plastic Surgery Education Foundation -- the first ever given.  Dr. Greenwald then pursued several fellowships, including one in hand/microvascular surgery at Harvard University. He also taught plastic surgery as a faculty member at Harvard Medical School.

Currently, Dr. Greenwald holds an associate professorship as the University of South Florida, in the division of Biomedical Engineering. He has received nearly $300,000 in research grants, has published more than 30 peer-reviewed journal articles, and lectures internationally on plastic surgery and related topics. He is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and many other scientific and medical societies. Dr. Greenwald has held appointments at the National Institutes of Health and the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

Dr. Greenwald is the sole plastic surgeon at his Tampa practice, Bayshore Plastic Surgery. He lives in South Tampa with his wife and two children. He performs a wide variety of procedures including breast augmentations, facelifts, liposuction, rhinoplasty, otoplasty, and more.
