COMBINED TREATMENTS EXTEND WRINKLE REDUCTION
Wrinkle reduction that lasts months instead of weeks is now possible through combined use of Botox and hyaluronic acid (HA). Some of these new injectable fillers work within the substance of the skin itself as "battens" to keep wrinkle creases from re-forming, even after Botox wears off. Safe and effective, these combined treatments are cost effective because the results are so long-lasting.
MEMORY GEL IMPLANTS APPROVED BY THE FDA
The FDA has now approved new-generation silicone breast implants. Previously only available as investigational devices, the new implants can now be used for primary breast augmentation. The new implants are sturdy and durable: the shell is multilayered and "low-bleed"; the filler is a memory gel that does not flow and holds its shape. Dr. Greenwald has had extensive experience with these new implants through his participation in the FDA study. Ask him for more information about these new products.
RECENT PUBLICATIONS BY DR. GREENWALD
Dr. Greenwald was recently invited to present a summary of his work at the Annual Meeting of the American Society for Aesthetic Surgery in Boston:
TITLE: Overfill of Saline Breast Implants does not Alter Shell Biomechanics
SUMMARY: Saline breast implants can be overfilled so as to avoid the formation of wrinkles and ripples; this overfill does not harm the implants. This data has also recently been accepted for publication in the Journal of Aesthetic Surgery.
